Refund Policy

Purchases are processed by Polar Software, Inc. as merchant of record. DiskPast does not take the card. Polar evaluates refunds under Polar’s Checkout Buyer Terms, applicable law, and card-network rules. This page is DiskPast’s supplier policy. It does not override Polar, and it does not limit non-waivable consumer rights.

How to ask

Ask Polar first for billing, tax, duplicate charges, and refunds: support@polar.sh. Also tell us at support@diskpast.com so we can match the order. Polar may contest chargebacks for a completed Transaction; contact Polar before opening a dispute if you can.

Window for a one-time DiskPast license

Polar’s supplier terms treat one-off refunds as typically within ten (10) days of the Transaction, reviewed case-by-case. Polar may deny a refund for fraud, abuse, or non-compliance with the applicable refund policy. Polar may also issue a refund later to resolve a dispute or chargeback. EU/UK (and similar) consumers may have a statutory withdrawal right that Polar must honor where it applies; this page does not cut that down.

We do not advertise a longer DiskPast-only refund window than Polar will process. The 14-day offline grace after you activate is a product feature on the PC. It is not extra refund time and is not an unpaid trial.

What we do when Polar refunds

When Polar refunds or a chargeback succeeds, we set the license to revoked. The next license refresh against diskpast.com fails. Local offline grace then ends. You must stop using history features. The same installer remains on disk; the key is no longer a valid seat.

What we do not refund for

We do not treat these as grounds for DiskPast to ask Polar to refund: Windows SmartScreen or Authenticode warnings (the download page says the file may be unsigned), using a different email at checkout than you later sign in with (the key was still shown on success), or buyer’s remorse after the Polar window. Support can still help you find the key or move a seat.

Money back

Approved refunds are issued by Polar to the original payment method, on Polar’s timing. DiskPast does not send a separate bank transfer.
