FAQ

Does DiskPast work offline?

After you activate once, DiskPast keeps working without the internet for 14 days. Each successful refresh against diskpast.com starts that 14 days over. That is not an unpaid trial. If Polar refunds, refresh fails and grace then ends. Polar’s typical one-off refund window is about 10 days (see /refunds), which is separate from this grace.

I lost the key

Sign in with Google or the email you paid Polar with. The key is on /account. Polar’s email is the tax receipt, not a second copy of the key. Polar can include the installer link in that receipt after a Custom “Windows installer” benefit is attached to the product.

Where do I download after I pay?

The installer is public at /download (header Download). After Polar checkout, the success page and Account also point there. Polar’s “Access purchase” button is their customer portal, not the exe.

Is there a free 1–2 week sample?

No. Anyone can download the same installer. History stays locked until you paste a paid key. After a real activation, the app already has a 14-day offline grace — that is not an unpaid trial.

Can I use two PCs?

One seat. Deactivate the old PC in Settings or on /account, then activate the new one.

Who charged my card?

Polar. DiskPast never sees the card.

Which email will DiskPast write from?

Support replies: support@diskpast.com. Sign-in and password reset: mail@diskpast.com. Legal: legal@diskpast.com. Security reports: security@diskpast.com. Polar receipts come from Polar, not those addresses.
